Waterborne Sealer
Clear Sealer is a fast-drying, easy-to-sand waterborne wood sealant formulated to minimize grain raise and provide a smooth foundation for Forteko waterborne floor finishes. Designed for ease of use and excellent leveling, it dries clear without tinting the wood, preserving the classic look of a traditional water based finish.
- 180-200 sq ft a bucket
- All in one easy to use adhesive
- Easy to apply and clean
- Environmentally friendly, 0 VOC
- Moisture barrier up to 95%
- Up to 3/4” & 12” wide solid flooring
Application
To use Clear Sealer, first sand the floor according to NWFA recommendations, finishing with 120-grit sandpaper. Vacuum the floor thoroughly to remove dust. Apply Clear Sealer evenly with a roller, T-bar, or brush, allowing it to dry completely before proceeding. Once dry, lightly sand with 180-grit sandpaper and clean the surface with a dry tack cloth or vacuum. This process prepares the floor for the application of a Forteko waterborne wood floor finish.

Advantages
Simple to Apply
Clean the subfloor thoroughly, removing all oil, grease, wax, paint, or other contaminants. Ensure the subfloor is crack-free. Concrete must be porous (according to per ASTM F3191) so P1000 can penetrate.
Quick Drying Time
This fast-drying formula keeps your project on schedule, reducing downtime between coats. You won’t have to wait long to move on to the next step, helping you complete floor finishing jobs efficiently and without unnecessary delays.
Great Build
Forteko Clear Sealer dries crystal clear and has a rich, full-bodied consistency. This creates a solid foundation for subsequent coats, enhancing film build and contributing to a premium-quality, well-finished hardwood floor appearance.
Elastic Bonding
Forteko Clear Sealer is designed for ease of use, allowing for smooth application with a variety of tools. Whether rolled, brushed, or sprayed, it levels evenly and resists lap marks, ensuring a consistent finish. It’s also formulated to prevent tannin pull, making it a reliable choice across all wood types.
Versatile Adhesion
Exhibits excellent adhesion to substrates, even those not perfectly seasoned, offering flexibility in application.
Ready for Use
Being a one-component product, it is ready for immediate use, eliminating the need for pre-mixing and streamlining the application process
Directions for Use
Installation
To install with Forteko T200, pour the adhesive along the installation area and spread it evenly with a Forteko #5 trowel held at a 90° angle, ensuring a smooth application without puddles or overlapping. Place the flooring into the adhesive while it is still wet, checking periodically to ensure 100% coverage on the substrate. Do not exceed 45 minutes of open time (at 70°F and 50% RH), as higher humidity shortens open time and lower humidity extends it. If the adhesive skins over, remove it and reapply before continuing installation.
Recommendations for Installation
1. Check Moisture of Subfloor
Check Moisture of Subfloor: For concrete slabs, using standard application, conduct moisture testing per ASTM test methods F1869 Test for Measuring Moisture Vapor Emission Rate (MVER) of Concrete Subfloor Using Anhydrous Calcium Chloride, and/or F 2170 Test Method for Determining Relative Humidity in Concrete Floor Slabs Using In Situ Probes. Finally confirm the slab is cured (30-60 days) and over 3,500psi. Ensure slab is 75% rh.
2. Humidity Verification
Check that the humidity levels of the wood meet the regulatory requirements specified in the technical sheet of the parquet. Adhere strictly to these specifications for optimal results.
3. Surface Moisture Considerations
If the surface is not dry or exhibits higher moisture content than recommended, use an appropriate waterproof moisture barrier, such as Moisture Barrier P220, before application.
4. Substrate Preparation
he substrate must be clean, dry, smooth, and structurally sound with a slightly textured surface for optimal adhesion. Remove any residue, paint, or contaminants that may affect bonding. Fill surface irregularities with a Portland cement-based leveling compound and ensure the substrate is level to 3/16” over 10 feet.
5. Temperature Control
Temperature Control: Avoid using Trowel Glue T200 at temperatures below +10 °C (50 °F) or exceeding +35 °C (95 °F). Maintain the recommended temperature range for optimal adhesive performance.
Success Installation
Following these professional recommendations, you ensure a successful installation of Trowel Glue T200, meeting industry standards (NWFA, ASTM, and/or RFCI Guidelines), and providing a reliable solution for various wood flooring applications. For up to 85% moisture blocking must use in conjunction with 2 coats P1000
